Helpful Tips for Players
Player License
In order to register and play in the Gwent Central Football League, you must
be licensed to the Gwent F.A. In order to obtain or renew a licence a
player will need to supply 2 passport size photographs and 2 completed licence
cards (supplied by the club you wish to register for).
Each Licence will cost £8.00 and last 5 years. The club
you register with will retain one as a copy and the other is stored with the
Gwent F.A., however the licence remains the property of the player.
Player Registrations
When a player’s licence is processed, a player will need to complete the
relevant Gwent Central Registration Form. The cost of a Gwent Central Registration
form will be as set out by the committee each season.
2008/09 season = £10.00.
The forms are then sent to the Gwent
Central Assistant Secretary for processing.
A player is eligible to play in a match organised the League providing the appropriate
G.C.F.A. players license is received and found to be in order by the Assistant
Secretary 72 hours before a scheduled time of kick off of any match,
in which a player shall be eligible to play in, providing he has not been registered
with another club in the league.
Once a player is registered with Pontypool Town AFC he will be requested to
pay a weekly subscription of £2.50 and pay any fines
accumulated by either a booking or sending off (see club rules).
Player Transfer
If a player wishes to leave Pontypool Town AFC, the player will need to notify,
request and complete a transfer form with Pontypool Town AFC firstly and then
with the club to whom the player wishes to transfer to.
The cost of a transfer form will be set out by the Gwent County F.A.
and a player can only transfer twice during a playing season., which
will be paid by the transferring player and not
Pontypool Town AFC.
